Core series: occasional distortion/clicks when using the analogue input
I hear distortion in the Core, even if the front LED stays green
The analogue input offers adjustable settings for various signal levels. If you experience intermittent distortion or clicking sounds, it is probable that the analogue input sensitivity switch is not properly configured. Certain rapid transients may produce a clicking sound that the LED indicator fails to register.
The switch provides four settings, each corresponding to the maximum input level that the monitor can handle. To ensure optimal performance, verify the specifications of the device connected to the Core, particularly the maximum analogue output level. Adjust the Core's "analogue input sensitivity" switch to match this value or select the next higher setting for the best results.
For modern professional audio interfaces, mixers, or speaker controllers, you should set the sensitivity to a minimum of +18 dBu, or consider using the +24 dBu setting for devices with higher output levels.
