Focus: rules regarding Dirac license for Focus
Clarification on Dirac rules regarding their license for Focus. This relates to the END USER license, when purchased from Dirac.
The Dirac license follows the product. Once the Dirac license is activated on a pair of speakers, the license is locked to that serial number.
If you sell your speakers as second-hand and upgrade to a different model of Focus, you must purchase a new license for the new speakers, and the old license follows the speakers. The license can be transferred from the seller to the buyer by contacting Dirac Support.
This also means that if you buy two pairs of the same speaker, you must purchase two Dirac licenses.
In special cases, such as service where the amplifier module of the Primary speaker has been replaced, the license can be transferred to the new module by Dirac Support.
