STUDIO LCR: Wiring combinations
How do I wire the LCR combinations?
The S4-LCRMT can be used in multiple ways: Passive (where you use the built-in crossover network) or active (where you bypass the built-in crossovers and instead use active crossovers in front of the power amplifiers).
Passive Connection: The S4-LCRMT can be used with one or two S4-LCR65W (using two increases the max SPL). The wiring is done easily: you simply connect one or two 65Ws to the MT (in parallel). So, it is only necessary to run one cable back to the amplifier from the MT. Remember to set the switch (on MT) and the jumpers (on 65W) in the appropriate positions (see manual).
Active connection: In active connection each speaker must be connected directly to its own power amplifier channel. Active connection also allows you to use up to four woofer modules per MT and thus increased max SPL level.
NOTE: It is possible to connect up to two S4-LCR65Ws to one channel on the power amplifier.
Remember to set the switch (on MT) and the jumpers (on 65W) in the appropriate positions (see manual), and use the filters recommended in the manual
