Music | Troubleshooting

I am unable to group my Dynaudio Music speakers!

If you can connect your speakers but are unable to group them, it is most likely related to your Wi-Fi setup. To troubleshoot on this matter, you will have to gain or have some insight in your network configuration.

However, before diving into router settings, please try the speakers on one or more different networks/routers, possibly a phone hotspot.

To solve the issue, please try the following.

  • Make sure both speakers are connected to the same Wi-Fi frequency (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz), preferably 2.4 GHz.
    • Some routers only have a 2.4 GHz connection.
    • Some routers will have a separate SSID (name of Wi-Fi) for each frequency, for example, ‘MyWiFi’ and ‘MyWiFi5GHz’.
    • If your router has both frequencies under the same SSID, please access your router settings and split the frequencies by naming them differently from each other.
  • Make sure both speakers are connected to the same Wi-Fi frequency on the same router/access point.
    • If you have several routers/access points with the same SSID, please, for testing, try turning off all but the main router and connect your speakers to it – on the same frequency as mentioned above.
  • Make sure your router is using WPA2-AES (PSK) security. See here for our recommended router settings.
