What are your expectations for the show?
Well, we want to connect with people: our customers, distributors, partners, end-users, and fans. Our friends. We have a lot of dedicated Dynaudio fans here in the L.A. area, and we hope to reconnect with them and have a conversation about our brand and where we are going. That’s our goal. It being the largest NAMM show ever, supposedly, is a huge plus, and we’re excited to be here.
What do people want to talk about when they swing by our booth?
"Everybody, and I mean everybody, is interested to know if we have a new product. Ha ha. But many also come by to meet someone from Dynaudio: they are Dynaudio users wanting to connect with us and share their experiences with their speakers with us. Which is really cool for us. We are grateful for the attention we have received so far, and can only encourage people to come by for a chat and give their feedback on our products."
It's the first time Dynaudio has its own dedicated booth at NAMM.
How many people do you think will attend the show?
"Ha ha, I have no, no idea. But it is many! As I said, supposedly, the biggest NAMM ever. Last year, there were more than 90.000 people here, and it's getting bigger, so, yeah, many, many people!"
What’s your answer when they ask about new products?
"Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to bring a new product to the show, but we are working hard on developing new products back home in Denmark. Over the past twelve months, we have gone through many changes: our distribution setup, recruited many new developers, and we’re building a new R&D department. We are really excited about these changes and what they’ll bring for the future. So, we are back on track, and we are developing new, cool products, and there will be new products in 2016 – just not at NAMM.
"Just give us a little more time, and we’ll have something new."
