Controlling interest
Control 01
Dynaudio Control 01 is a powerful digital audio processor designed to be the hub of any modern studio. It has all the tools and connectivity you need to get creative in everything from producing a demo in a recording and mastering studio or mobile truck, right up to putting the finishing touches to a major motion picture in a Dolby Atmos dubbing stage.
With an almost limitless channel count, using connected interfaces via optional DADlink, there’s virtually no end to the possible configurations you can create for your studio. The Dante interface alone carries 256 channels of I/O built into the base unit. The Thunderbolt audio interface also has 256 inputs and 256 outputs to your computer with only two samples of latency from the connection, and a total of nine within the digital interface. There’s simply no other solution available that provides this level of connectivity and speed.
Controlling interest
As a monitor controller, Control 01 use DAD’s (Digital Audio Denmark) industry-leading DADman software. PRO|MON with SPQ gives it dominion over any format of speaker array from mono to 128 immersive channels, each with its own processing (EQ, gain and delay) to meet any studio requirement and standard. Connect a Control Link for tactile running of your studio system, and you have a complete solution for the most demanding professional scenarios.
Running MacOS? Windows PCs? Both? Dynaudio Control 01’s platform-agnostic Thunderbolt connectivity means it can be your main audio interface – whichever system you run – with bulletproof CoreAudio and ASIO drivers providing processing at very low latencies.
Dream connectivity
With the included Dante interface, MADI connections, AES3 outputs and Thunderbolt, you can already route audio between four different formats. And with the addition of DADlink and connected interfaces, you can route between a massive 984 possible channels. Control 01 has a slot for DADlink and two expansion slots that can house any of the available DAD expansion options – including an eight-channel AD converter with pristine, industry-leading microphone preamps; eight-channel DA; and an additional 256 channels of Dante with SRC, dual MADI, AES3 and dual SDI cards.
The included eight AES3 outputs (16 digital audio channels) are perfect for connecting Dynaudio Core speakers up to and including a 9.1.6 Dolby Atmos configuration.
Using DADlink via an optical or coaxial connection, other DAD interfaces can be connected to Control 01 without any additional latency – adding 128 bi-directional channels.
Flexibility for professionals
The included speaker processing provides 128 channels of EQ, gain and delay to optimise your monitoring and bass-management systems. With over a thousand bands of EQ available, you can tune your room to the highest tolerances and standards.
Using the two available expansion slots, you can add up to 16 channels of DAD microphone preamps to the system for a total recording solution in one box. Alternatively, you can include eight or 16 channels of analogue output with DA cards, or even add two AES3 expansion cards for 32 digital I/O channels (for a 48-channel immersive speaker installation).
There are also two independent headphone amplifiers included on the front panel, rounding out a complete studio solution in one rack space.
And, using the versatile PRO|MON control feature, this entire system can be configured with multiple presets, depending on the need. Since the unit is only one rack space, it can travel with you to provide a consistent studio environment wherever your work takes you. Touch a button on the Control Link and the entire system can be reconfigured – giving you the tools you need to get the job done.
