The M1.5 is a fairly "punchy" monitor with an incredible bass response mainly suited to popular music tracking and mixing, voice and dialog recording, and as L, C, R monitors in high performance surround monitoring systems.

Mounted either in the nearfield on top of a console or in midfield just behind
the console on suitable stands, it can easily fulfill the majority of monitoring needs. Flush mounting is also an option when careful attention is paid to room design, construction and acoustic treatment.

An obvious feature of the M1.5 is the extraordinary output from such a compact speaker.

For the first time, a performance exceeding that of many so called "main" monitors is available from a unit of a size suiting even the smallest facility.

With a frequency response from 40Hz to 20kHz, and a maximum output in excess of 120dB SPL at 1.25m, the M1.5 is truly exceptional.

Where it is quite normal to employ audio processing techniques to extract the last drop of performance from a drive unit in an active system, the totally passive M1.5 relies purely on component quality. The secrets behind its performance lie in the high sensitivity drivers developed exclusively for this model, coupled with a very efficient twin ported cabinet and an impedance corrected crossover which ensures that the optimum load is presented to the amplifier at all times. Imaging is pin sharp, even in difficult environments, thanks to the directionally controlled tweeters.

A trim switch on the rear of the cabinet allows for fine tuning of the mid/high frequency response, further enhancing its use in near and midfield environments with varying acoustical characteristics.
