Rainer Zietlow and his Team successfully departed Nordkapp, Norway on Sunday, 21st September 2014, shortly after 03:00am, after meeting with the Mayor of Honningsvåg (Ms. Kristina Hansen) and her officially starting the Toaureg’s stopwatch to see the team off on their ±17,000km journey from Norway to South Africa.
Rainer Zietlow has expressed his utmost gratitude for the support and sponsorship that he has received in order to perform such an event, that will see its way into the Guinness World Records. He has congratulated each of the Sponsors and Partners for their pivotal role in making this journey a reality and hopes to achieve his own personal goal with the support already received.
