Focus remote: How to change the battery?

How to open the new Focus (10, 30, 50) remote to replace the batteries.

The remote's bottom lid is securely attached to the main body by strong magnets. To detach it, follow the instructions in the picture below. Press your thumb firmly downward and forward while using your other fingers to grip the bottom lid. Slide the top part forward as indicated by the arrows on the picture. If needed, you can use both hands due to the strength of the magnets. 

This will cause the bottom lid to move backward while the top part slides forward, allowing you to separate the two sections.

The bottom of the lid features two round magnets that help secure it to the main body.
