Is Xeo suitable for surround / multichannel?
Xeo has been developed for stereo playback. The Xeo Transmitter / Hub / Connect or Xeo 2 cannot decode any DTS or Dolby Surround signals.
However, Xeo can be used effectively as a wireless rear speaker (or front speaker), if a Xeo Transmitter / Hub / Connect or Xeo 2 is connected to the analogue rear (or front) pre-out outputs of the surround receiver.
Theoretically, several Xeo Transmitter / Hub / Connect (set as A, B and C) or Xeo 2 can be connected to the front, center and rear outputs of the sound receiver, although the simultaneous use of multiple transmitters usually leads to sound dropouts, depending on the utilization of the wireless network and is therefore not recommended.
